Mobilize for Democracy 2.0

It's one thing to say you'd like to help get young people more involved in politics. It's another to provide them with the money, contacts and advice they need to turn their energy and ideas into real democratic change. What I wanted to pose is if anyone knew of readings, videos, events, etc., that take on the opponents of public campaigns? I know that the Cato Institute, for instance, has on their website a collection of readings against it and I'd love to see their points debated.
